This Sunday, the celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples will take place in Tula
On August 7, Tuloma will gather guests from all over the Murmansk Region to celebrate the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples. Guests will enjoy a bright concert program with colorful dance numbers of folklore groups and incendiary performances by individual performers from Murmansk, Apatity, Kola, Lovozer, Loparskaya and others.
At the site of the Tula Rural House of Culture, an exhibition and fair of products of masters of decorative and applied creativity will unfold. Sami craftsmen will share with the guests the secrets of making fish skin, making various souvenirs from it at master classes on needlework. Also, everyone will be able to take part in a master class on driving a round dance, the art of flanking.
Both adults and young Northerners will find interesting activities at the festival, and the rite of wish fulfillment "Bonfire of Unity", which will be held by the Sami Noyd, will unite everyone.
The Murmansk Regional Center for Indigenous Peoples of the North and Interethnic Cooperation, the Tula Rural House of Culture and the administration of the rural settlement of Tuloma invite residents and guests of the region to take part in festive events and get acquainted with the original culture of the peoples living in the Murmansk region.
The events start at 13 o'clock at the site of the village House of Culture.
