Miner's Day

On the last Saturday in August, the Miner's Day will be celebrated in Kirovsk on a grand scale.

From 12 o'clock Kirov residents and guests of the city are expected on the Resort Boulevard and the Theater Courtyard – the space of these streets will be transformed into an art gallery during the holiday. The participants of the event will be able to attend a brass band concert, a carnival costume workshop, street performances, a literary alley, an exhibition of works by masters of decorative and applied arts and many other activities.

Also, from noon, an exhibition of mining equipment will open at the management building of the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC, which everyone can see, and a presentation of sailing boats of the Murmansk Commercial Sea Port yacht Club will take place on Lake Verkhny.

The grand opening of the main part of the event will begin at 15 o'clock at the site of the Gornyak stadium, during which the award ceremony of the best employees of the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC will take place, as well as the presentation of a particularly valuable gift – a new car – to the best miner.

For all participants of the holiday, the 158 Crew from St. Petersburg and Urbans from Moscow will show their dancing skills, and the festive atmosphere will be created by the DJ show "MC Jean and DJ RIGA" and a specially invited Russian star - Garik Sukachev.
