The exhibition "Raphael. Versions"
Add to the journey
The exhibition is dedicated to the 540th anniversary of the birth of Raphael Santi (1483-1520), includes more than fifty works of Russian and foreign art from the collection of the Museum of the Academy of Arts, allowing you to fully trace the main stages of the life and work of one of the greatest artists of the High Renaissance.
By tradition, the best students of the Imperial Academy of Arts went abroad to "improve in the arts." The Academy Council, as a task, indicated to pensioners the works of outstanding artists from which copies should be made. It was these works, made by famous Russian authors – F. A. Bruni, A. T. Markov, M. F. Voinov and others, that became the basis of the exhibition. The key works of the exhibition are adapted by tactile copies.
