Festival "Sails of Kandalaksha"

It will be held in Kandalaksha on July 3, 2022 as part of the Interregional Regatta of cruising yachts "Cup of the Kandalaksha Bay 2022" will be held. The participants of the regatta are waiting for the White Sea with the sun not setting around the clock, the opportunity to cross the Arctic Circle twice and get acquainted with the amazing inhabitants of these places – polar birds, seals, seals, walruses, dolphins and killer whales.

More than twenty yachts and more than a hundred athletes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Arkhangelsk Region, Karelia and the Kola Peninsula will take part in the event. The regatta has an interregional status and is included in the calendar of sports competitions of the All-Russian Sailing Federation and the ECP of Russia, it is also a stage of the ORC (Ocean Racing Congress) Yacht Cup Of Russia.

The port race consists of two loops with a length of four nautical miles. It will be possible to watch it from the picturesque Monastic pillowcase (pillowcase – cape) – one of the few places in Russia where yachts can be seen in the palm of your hand, which allows you to fully follow the course of the race in the bosom of the natural beauty of the Kandalaksha Bay.

Guests will enjoy a festive concert program, playgrounds and shopping malls.

The main organizer of the interregional regatta is the Chupinsky Marine Yacht Club from Karelia. The organizers of the stage in Kandalaksha are the district administration and the Kandalaksha Yacht Club.
