Sami Crafts Festival "The Power of Sami Traditions"

The first festival of Sami crafts "The Power of Sami traditions" will be held on April 30 in Lovozer. The grand opening of the festival will begin at 13:00 on the site in front of the Department of History, Culture and life of the Kola Sami of the Murmansk Regional Museum of Local Lore (Lovozero village, Sovetskaya Street, 28).

Masters of Sami crafts from all over the Murmansk region will present their unique products and souvenirs, as well as hold master classes where everyone will be able to master the techniques of decorative and applied craftsmanship.

In the extensive entertainment program of the festival:

• cooking contests;
• Sami music and dance;
• master class on Sami needlework;
• acquaintance with loyal friends and assistants of reindeer herders and hunters – northern dogs and much more.

Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of the original Sami culture and learn the history of the oldest people of the Murmansk region.
