Victory Day Parade in the hero city of Murmansk

On May 9, Murmansk will host a military parade dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The parade will traditionally take place on the main square of the city – Five Corners.
1300 people will be involved in the celebration – representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, other law enforcement agencies and departments of the region, pupils of the Murmansk Nakhimov Naval School and participants of the All-Russian Children's and Youth military patriotic movement "Yunarmiya".
The column of military and historical equipment, consisting of 62 units, will be headed by a T-34 tank. In the mechanized column, viewers will also see a modern Russian T-80 BVM main battle tank, Bal and Bastion missile systems, S-400 Triumph, armored personnel carriers and other military equipment.
The combined military band of the Murmansk Territorial Garrison will also take part in the Murmansk parade.
The air parade of aviation equipment of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Northern Fleet can be observed over the memorial "Alyosha" ("Defenders of the Soviet Arctic during the Great Patriotic War").
One of the key events will be the action "Immortal Regiment". Thousands of people will carry portraits of relatives — participants of the Great Patriotic War, from Lenin Avenue to the memorial complex "Defenders of the Soviet Arctic". The construction of the column will begin at 9:15 on the section of Vorovsky Street.
On the evening of May 9, an artillery salute will thunder in the sky over the city.
