Seydozero is the place of Power of the ancient inhabitants of the Kola Peninsula – the Sami. This mysterious lake has been stirring the minds of researchers for more than a hundred years. Dozens of expeditions spend here every summer in search of their Hyperborea. Someone will find untouched nature here, someone will find traces of the echoes of that very ancient civilization, and for someone it will be just a great day spent in good company.
Program:We will pick you up from Murmansk (the meeting place is negotiated separately).
- The length of the road to Lovozer is 180 km . The Sami ethnic group still lives there. At the beginning of the XX century, this village was called the capital of Lapland.
- A walk on the picturesque Lovozero Lake by boat. The round trip distance is 76 km. - a walking tour of the reserve "Seydyavvr" among the mighty firs and pines in the northern taiga with access to the observation deck on the mountain lake Seydozero.
- We will see a rock image of the great "Kuiva" - a place of worship of the ancient Sami. We will also see: dancing forest, mysterious slabs, Chivruay gorge, Ninchurt mountain on top of which there is a pyramid, the mountain river Seidyavryok.
- We will have lunch right in the forest (freshly caught fish or venison). It will be prepared for us by local Sami residents, in accordance with the traditions of their people.
