Permission to visit the Kutsa Nature Reserve

The Kutsa State Nature Reserve of Regional Significance is located in the Kandalaksha district. Its area is 52 000,0 hectares .
The reserve got its name after the Kutsayoki River, a tributary of the Tumchi. "Kutsa" includes relict forests, mountain tundra, swamps and lakes, as well as gorges, canyons and waterfalls. One of the attractions of the reserve is the Pyukhyakuru Gorge, which was considered sacred by the Sami. More than 370 species of vascular plants, including red book plants, grow in the reserve. And there are also golden eagle, whooper swan, wolverine, lynx and many other animals.
The reserve performs the functions of conservation, restoration, reproduction and rational use of valuable in economic, scientific and cultural terms representatives of the animal world, vegetation, general ecological balance, environmental-forming natural complexes, migration routes of valuable fish species.
It is prohibited to:
- any pollution of rivers and lakes, littering of the territory within the boundaries of the reserve;
- campfires, except for specially equipped places;
- amateur and sport fishing in violation of the current legislation of the Russian Federation;
- industrial collection of mosses, berries and mushrooms.
On the territory of the reserve it is allowed:
- carrying out research and experimental work on the permits of the managing institution, as well as in cases established by law;
- amateur and sport fishing in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation;
- picking mushrooms and berries without the use of special devices;
- campfires in specially equipped places.
On the basis of paragraph 5.3. of the Regulations on the Kutsa State Nature Reserve, its visit is allowed only with the permission of the managing institution - GOKU "Directorate (Administration) of Specially Protected Natural Territories of Regional Significance of the Murmansk region".

If at the time of visiting the protected area, you have not yet received a letter confirming the application, show the inspector (ranger) an email about its registration.
