How can the Tourists Information Center help a tourist?
In almost all TIC offices you can find free maps of the city and region, brochures, business cards and other promotional materials of local companies.
Employees will be happy to share information and answer questions, for example:
- what is interesting to see, where to eat deliciously, where to stay;
- how best to plan your own route;
- how to get to the place of interest;
- where to find the contacts of the best tour guides or travel companies.
TIC for the convenience of the traveler publish interesting and useful information on their pages in social networks. There you can also ask any questions online.

The priority long-term goal of the operation of tourist information centers, regardless of the scale of activity and location, is to increase the contribution of the tourism industry to the economy of the region.
The activities of the tourist information center should not be limited to information and consulting services. The tourist information center should function as an element of the tourist infrastructure, which directly affects the satisfaction of the needs of tourists and the tourist attractiveness of the destination. Figure 1 shows the main activities carried out by the tourist information center to increase the contribution of the tourism industry to the region's economy.
