The regional art museum has opened an exhibition of polar artists-anniversaries
The Russian Museum Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Murmansk Regional Art Museum has opened the exhibition "Personality. Creation. Life". The exhibition includes paintings by polar artists.
There have never been pauses and recessions in the work of Murmansk artists. Their works reflect the beauty and rich history of the Kola Region, the fragility of the Arctic nature and the strength of the people living here. The exhibition presents the most significant and striking works of artists from the collection of the Murmansk Regional Art Museum. Georgy Karpovich, Viktor Yershov, Boris Syukhin, Arvi Huttunen, Mikhail Kirin, Valentin Chudzin and Vasily Baranov – the exhibition introduces the works of talented artists who had a subtle sense of the Kola Arctic.
"At such expositions, we observe the connection between the present and the past, we can compare how we feel the space in which we live, and how those who created the paintings felt it. Each presented author has his own style, his own handwriting, but there is also a lot in common. They are united by life, creativity and love for the North," said the Minister of Culture of the Murmansk region Olga Obukhova at the opening of the exhibition.
You can visit the exhibition until September 4 at the Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Russian Museum at the address: Murmansk, Sofia Perovskaya str., 3.
