The Hyperborean New Year will be celebrated in Kovdor

This year, the Hyperborean New Year will last 3 days and cover the whole city!

➢ December 22The three-day festival will be opened by Olympic champion, world and European champion Alexey Yagudin.

The master class from the famous figure skater will take place on December 22 at 14:00 on the open ice of the Chaika sports complex. 

The famous figure skater will not only teach kovdorchans and guests of the city the basics of skating, but also show several solo numbers of his program. Everyone will be able to take a picture and get an autograph of a famous athlete as a souvenir. And the participants of the master class will receive gifts.

On the second day of the festival, at 14:00, the II Hyperborean Chess Tournament will take place in the "Children's Health and Educational Profile Center of Kovdorsky district".

Everyone will have the opportunity to hold a simultaneous game session with the European Champion, Grandmaster Vladislav Artemyev. Last year, he created one of the main sensations in the world of chess - he beat the current World Champion, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen. The chess tournament is held with the support of EuroChem.
