At the plenary session of the Association of Classroom Teachers of the Murmansk Region, Chairman of the Regional Committee for Tourism Eliseev Alexander Vasilyevich and General Director of the Tourist Information Center of the Murmansk Region Ivanova Anastasia Viktorovna made presentations to teachers on the importance of involving schoolchildren in the tourism sector and opportunities for active interaction.

"The issues of organizing the quality education of the young generation are extremely relevant at the moment. Tourism can be safely attributed to the most effective educational means, in addition, travel is not only an opportunity to get acquainted with your region and country, but also to choose a future profession, including in the hospitality industry," said Alexander Eliseev.

At the end of the planar meeting, a number of sections were opened for classroom teachers to visit. Among the sections there was a platform where the tour operators of the region, actively working with children and school groups, presented their unique tourist product in the field of children's tourism to teachers.

"The introduction of children to the study of the history and traditions of their native land, the knowledge of any school subjects – is much easier through travel. Today everyone knows Niagara Falls, but few residents of the region will name at least three waterfalls in the region. Meeting with the Association of Classroom Teachers of the region is the key to establishing communication of specialized organizations within our region. Thanks to the direct dialogue, the Tourist Information Center of the Murmansk Region and educational institutions will develop a series of class hours on local history for students in schools in the region," said Anastasia Ivanova, Director General of the Tourist Information Center of the Murmansk Region
