10 thousand people took part in the first festival "The Power of Color" at the ski resort in Kirovsk

The guests of the festival "The Power of color" at the ski resort "Bolshoy Vudyavr" were 10 thousand people. The festival took place on May 6 and 7 as part of the action plan of Russia's chairmanship in the Arctic Council in 2021-2023, the operator of which is the Roscongress Foundation. The main purpose of the festival was to popularize Arctic tourism.

The headliners of the musical part of the festival were Olga Seryabkina, My Michelle and Dj Clubkilla. Regional stars, including DJ Deep Touch, DJ Silinsky, DJ Tanitsoy, DJ Gabur and DJ No Izi, as well as the cover band Naveka Band, also performed on the main stage of the "Forces of Color".

As part of the gastronomic part of the festival, nine catering companies from the Murmansk Region and Karelia were presented. Visitors of the food court "Taste of the Arctic" got acquainted with unique restaurant dishes in the format of street food. In two days, the guests tasted 5,200 portions of Arctic dishes and 3,300 portions of drinks. The event was held under the patronage of the project "Gastronomic Map of Russia" with the participation of the project manager Ekaterina Shapovalova.

In addition, on the site MURMANSK.TRAVEL Market guests were able to participate in excursions accompanied by the best guides of the Khibiny tour cluster, in master classes, buy exclusive souvenirs, and also send a postcard to Russia for free. In total, the guests of the festival sent 6,500 postcards.

The organizers of the Festival "The Power of Color" are the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the Murmansk Region Tourism Committee, the Administration of the City of Kirovsk, PhosAgro and the Agency for the Development of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the City of Kirovsk with the support of the projects "Gastronomic Map of Russia" and "Silver Necklace of Russia", as well as ANO "Tourist Information Center of the Murmansk region".

The ski resort "Bolshoy Vudyavr" – the highest mountain resort in the North-West of Russia – is located within the city of Kirovsk. It is located on the Southern and Northern slopes of Mount Aikuaivenchorr and includes trails of any difficulty level. Bolshoy Vudyavr is included in the list of the best ski resorts in Russia, and in 2022 it won the nomination "The best ski resort in Russia in the North-Western Federal District" of the National Award "Mountains of Russia". He continues to work even in June.

Russia is the presiding country in the Arctic Council in 2021-2023. A cross–cutting priority of the Chairmanship is ensuring responsible governance in the interests of sustainable development of the Arctic.

The comprehensive program of the Russian presidency is aimed at promoting cooperation to improve the well-being and quality of life of the Arctic population, including the indigenous peoples of the North, its adaptation to the effects of climate change, the preservation of Arctic biodiversity and unique ecosystems, ensuring socio-economic development, finding solutions in the field of global energy and transport security, promoting scientific cooperation in high latitudes and strengthening arctic cooperation.
