Arctic Border Guards Square

The square is located in the central part of the city, at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Knipovich Street, next to the Drama Theater. In 2013, the square was reconstructed. The sidewalks are now paved with paving stones, new original benches have been installed, and the green area is suitable for hiking and secluded recreation.

The square near the Drama Theater is one of the most peaceful and quiet places in the central part of Murmansk. Despite the proximity to one of the busiest avenues of the city, a peaceful atmosphere always reigns here. It is not surprising that this is one of the favorite meeting places and walks of citizens. Murmansk residents come here to meet and chat with friends, read a book on a warm summer day, admire the monument to the "Border Guards of the Arctic", drink fragrant coffee, and sometimes just sit in silence.
