Apatit Museum and Exhibition Center

The Apatit Museum and Exhibition Center is a corporate museum of the PhosAgro Group of companies.

On March 20, 2022, the Apatit IEC celebrated its 90th anniversary. The very building of the IEC with a clock tower has long been the hallmark of Kirovsk. The museum is located in the heart of the city and is famous for its rich collection of minerals, mining models, multimedia expositions and various events.



The building is divided into 2 parts: the main and the tower. You can get to the tower only with a guided tour.



The first two floors of the main exposition tell about the history of the development of the Khibiny and the development of the Apatit combine, the extraction of apatite-nepheline ore. Here you will also get acquainted with the collection of minerals from the Khibiny and other regions of our planet (about 3,500 samples from around the world).

On the second floor, children can relax and study educational materials in a special play area.



The third floor in the IEC is reserved for space for temporary exhibitions. On this floor there is an exhibition "Life and customs of the Russian Empire" with a unique collection of samovars and objects of Russian life of the XVIII – XIX centuries.



The tower of the IEC "Apatit" houses a multimedia exhibition "Journey from the bowels of the Earth to the atmosphere", illustrating the structure of the Earth, affecting the general geology of the Khibiny, their formation, legends, etc. aspects. From the top floor of the tower, from a 25-meter height, the tour participants can admire the panorama of the city and the Khibiny.

Audio guides have been prepared for guests who want to explore the IEC on their own.

The IEC has equipment for receiving visitors with disabilities. Families with small children are offered strollers and kangaroo backpacks.



Visits, excursions and audio guides of the IEC are free of charge.


IEC "Apatit" is open daily from 10.00 to 21.00 (entrance until 20:00), seven days a week and holidays.

The last Friday of each month is a sanitary day.
