Local History Museum of the village of Revda

The museum, located in the village of Revda Lovozersky district, was founded in October 1988 by the head of the Search group A. B. Komarov, and the museum opened its doors to visitors on November 1, 1989.
The acquisition of funds took place by collecting information (including memories of war and labor veterans), studying archival materials, and most importantly — during numerous expeditions to remote areas of the Kola Peninsula.
The permanent exhibition area is 340 sq. m, the exhibition area is 220 sq. m. The museum constantly exhibits more than 3,500 items related to the life and everyday life of the Sami and Pomors, mineral extraction on the territory of the Kola Peninsula, there are sections of the exposition dedicated to GULAG prisoners, the nature of the Murmansk region, the beginning of the scientific development of the Lovozero tundra and the foundation of the village of Revda.
The hall dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, namely the OMAG pilots, is currently under reconstruction and is closed to visitors.
In 1997, the staff of the LGOK LLC museum discovered the Kanozersk petroglyphs, currently recognized as a historical monument of world significance.
