Add to the journey
On September 21, 2008, on the day of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vidyaevo, was opened the Museum of the history of the village and the garrison of Vidyaevo. The opening was attended by employees of all institutions, residents and guests of the village: veteran submariners who arrived at the anniversary of the garrison, relatives of submariners who died on the cruiser Kursk, as well as the son, grandson and great-grandson of the hero of the underwater depths Fedor Vidyaev, whose name the village bears.
In April 2009, the museum was registered in the regional Museum of Local Lore, having received an official passport. Today the museum has 1001 exhibits, including 197 originals.
Three halls are organized with the collected materials: a hall dedicated to F.A. Vidyaev, the local history and the military glory of the garrison, the past and present history of the village.
Together with Murmansk designers, a stele dedicated to the feat of the commander of the submarine "Shch-421" and the submarine "Shch-422" F.A. Vidyaev was developed and mounted (in the center, on a stand with lighting, there is a portrait of F.A. Vidyaev, a model of the submarine "Shch-422").
The banner of the submarine "Shch-422", which was commanded by Lieutenant Commander F.A. Vidyaev from July 1942 to June 30, 1943, was created and mounted. On the sides there are two stands "The battle path of F.A. Vidyaev during the Great Patriotic War". Under the glass cases "The Immortal Watch still bears" there are photos of memorable places of F.A. Vidyaev: the house where he was born, the church where he was baptized, the school museum in the village, the secondary school where he was studying in Murmansk, the higher naval school named after him - Frunze. Models of 3 Orders of the Red Banner, the 4 degree Order of the British Empire, a handful of land from the Stepnaya Shentala village, where F.A. Vidyaev was born, a note to his son.
