Memorial monument "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier"

In 1944 a serviceman who died during a bombing in the Great Patriotic War was buried in the railway area near the Kurenga River.

In 1967 the remains of a serviceman were reburied on the shore of Lake Bannoye. A monument was erected at the site of the grave - an obelisk with a metal star.

In 1994 the remains were transferred to the island of Lake Komsomolskoye. At the site of the new burial, the Memorial Monument "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" was erected, which is a composition with a commemorative stele and bayonets directed into the sky.
