Drama Theater of the Northern Fleet

The Drama Theater of the Northern Fleet is the oldest theater in the Arctic region with the first professional theater group on the Kola Peninsula.

The first address of the theater was the House of the Red Army and Navy in the city of Polyarny. It was established by Order No. 20 for the Northern Military Flotilla on December 8, 1933 and received the status of professional on October 29, 1935 (it is from this date that the theater counts the theater seasons). The first actors of the theater were sailors, actresses – their wives.

In the repertoire policy of the theater, an important place is given to plays on a military-patriotic theme, the best works of national and world drama.
Today, the theater employs honored artists, honored workers of culture, people's artists.
