Place
Park named after Sergey Brovtsev
Add to the journey
In the very center of the city, on the shore of Lake Lumbolka, in a forest area of 17 hectares, there is a city park named after Sergei Brovtsev. This is the first park founded in the Arctic.
For sports fans, there is a health trail in the central city park. The illuminated sports track with a length of about 1.1 km is designed for running, sports and Nordic walking. The 77-meter Potemkin stairs adorn the park. In 2015, an art object appeared in the park- a poetic stool. This is a huge stool weighing about five hundred kilograms and more than two meters high. The poetic stool became the winner of the All-Russian competition of projects "Literary trace".
Here, by the lake, there is one of the most romantic places in the city — an observation deck with a balustrade.
