Art object "Solntsekrug"

At the beginning of May 2021, as part of the art residence "ArtArktika", 13 daredevils from different parts of Russia came to Monchegorsk.

In just one month, under the guidance of the artist Weld Queen, they learned how to work with metal and created a steel sculpture "Solntsekrug". The inspiration for the art object was the stories of the residents of the city about how sometimes the northerners do not have enough sunlight.

The platform offers a panoramic view of Lake Lumbolka and central Park.
