Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Russian Museum
Add to the journey
On September 8, 2017, the Murmansk Regional Art Museum hosted the opening of the Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Russian Museum. The institution includes an exhibition and exhibition space, an information and educational center "Russian Museum: Virtual branch", a resource center for the creative development of children and adolescents with various social and physical disabilities.
The Cultural and Exhibition Center is a unique opportunity for northerners and guests of the Arctic to see the exhibits of the Russian Museum without coming to Saint-Petersburg. Fine art itself goes "on tour". Virtual tours of the Russian Museum, meetings with representatives of culture, lectures, film screenings, master classes and much more take place here.
The first exhibition in the center was the exposition "Red. Painting, folk and decorative arts from the collection of the Russian Museum", where 77 works of the XVII-XXI centuries were presented, including works by Alexei Venetsianov, Konstantin Korovin, Arkhip Kuindzhi, Konstantin Makovsky, Nikolai Ge, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Boris Kustodiev, Robert Falk, David Burlyuk and other artists.
Exhibitions were held here: "Yuri Trizna's Graphics" (St. Petersburg), "Folk costume in family traditions", "Casual conversations" ("Natural conversations") from Sami authors from Norway, "Veronika Vologzhannikova's Graphics" (Murmansk) and others.
