Sami holidays - snowmobile expedition

A three-day eventful snowmobile tour.

Tour program:

1 day. Meeting guests by minibus in Apatity, transfer to our snowmobile base in Kirovsk (30 minutes), breakfast in a cafe on the way, equipment, instruction on driving snowmobiles, departure along the route: Kirovsk - Umbozersky pass, Lake Umbozero, Lake Lovozero. The route passes partly through mountains, partly through frozen lakes and a forest area. Fabulous landscapes of the Russian North alternate one by one before your eyes. Accommodation in the guest house Yulinskaya Salma, dinner. The daily route is about 130 km.

Day 2. Breakfast, snowmobile trip to Lake Seydozero. This place is sacred to the indigenous people of the Sami nationality. One of the most striking sights of the Kola Peninsula. Harsh cliffs, virgin forest surround a frozen magical lake. After exploring the lake, we will go to the area of the village of Lovozero, where we will organize acquaintance with local residents and their pets.. Here you will learn the amazing history of the Siberian Husky breed and chat with charming affectionate dogs, get acquainted with reindeer and ride a sleigh in a reindeer sled, visit a forest settlement where you will learn a lot of new and interesting things about the polar nature and traditions of the peoples of the North. And most importantly - we will delight you with an exciting trip through the winter forest on a sled in a dog sled. Return to the guest house, wood-burning sauna with swimming in the snow, dinner. Day trip on snowmobiles 80 km.

Day 3. Breakfast, start in the direction of Khibiny. The route back to Kirovsk differs from the route of the first day. If possible, we will climb one of the highest points of the Lovozersky tundra - Mount Mannepakh (950m) with a magnificent view of Umbozero and Khibiny, and in the Khibiny we will pass not through Umbozersky, but through the Partomchorrsky pass. The daily route is about 150 km. Return to Kirovsk, dinner at a cafe, departure. Interesting things on the route: the sacred mountain lake Seydozero, snowmobiling and reindeer riding, acquaintance with the life of the indigenous population of the Kola Peninsula, with sled dogs, fishing, a wood-burning bath, the boundless expanses of the Russian North.
