XI International festival of snow and ice sculptures "Snow Ice" took place in Kirovsk
The festival of snow and ice sculptures "Snow-ice – 2022" took place in Kirovsk. Nine teams from different regions of Russia took part in the traditional competition. In front of the audience for a week, sculptors created real works of art from huge cubes of snow. Snow sculptures were evaluated according to several criteria – for example, such as image recognition and compositional solution.
The winners of the festival were:
- Alexey Vasyukov and Ilya Mehryakov from Perm are the creators of the snow sculpture "Kukiska", the soul of the Kukisvumchorr mountain.
- The second place was taken by the sculpture "Northern Happiness" by Olga Morozova from Omsk and Ilya Mishanin from Moscow.
- The bronze medalists were Rashid Sagdeev and Sergey Potashev from Arkhangelsk with the composition "The Soul of the Company".
Also diplomas and prizes for participation were awarded:
- Ivan Loktyukhin and Maria Yezhova from Kirovsk, the creators of the sculpture "And it's clear to the Hedgehog!";
- Kirill Batalov from Nevyansk and Matvey Vavaev from Yekaterinburg, the creators of the sculpture "Like a fish in water";
- Sergey and Alexey Nikolaevs from Yekaterinburg, the creators of the sculpture "Snowball";
- Kirill Bair from Korolev and Nikita Slyshalov from Kostroma, the creators of the sculpture "Traveler between Heaven and Earth";
- Elena Timofeeva from Petrozavodsk and Maxim Vert from Perm, the authors of the sculpture "Blue Zurbagan";
- Yuri Shcherbak from Makeyevka and Ingrid Struensee from Moscow, the creators of the sculpture "Heartbreaker".
After the contest, the resulting sculptures became part of the exhibition"Snow Village". They will delight visitors of the excursion center until the end of the winter season.
