Historically, Lovozersky district was the center of Sami life. Here is one of the most mysterious and famous places of the Arctic — Seydozero. The way to it lies either through the village of Lovozero. Seydozero is unusual for everyone: nature, history, an abundance of myths and rumors related to it. The name translates from Sami as "sacred lake" On its shores shamans performed the most important rituals, holidays were held here, legends and songs were composed about it. And right on the rock is depicted Kuiva — a fabulous giant spirit and "dancing" trees. Their trunks are bent in the most bizarre way, sometimes even coiled.DAY 1
