Today Cola is a small town with a population of about 9 thousand people, which is located 12 kilometers from the center of Murmansk. Cola is often called a suburb or even a residential area of Murmansk. But is such a comparison fair?

Cola rightfully bears the title of the oldest city of the Kola Peninsula. Make sure of this by taking a walk around the city together with a professional guide - an employee of the Museum of the History of the city of Cola.

During the walk you will see:

  • the youngest and most modern museum of the Murmansk region is the Museum of the History of the city of Kola
  • The first stone building on the Kola Peninsula is the Annunciation Church
  • the oldest wooden monument on the Kola Peninsula is the Cross of Worship of the XVII century .
  • the best view of the Kola Bay and the city of Murmansk, opening from the Pomorskaya embankment and much more.

And also, you will learn that Alyosha has his own not only in Murmansk, but also in Kola, and also get acquainted with the traditions and life of the Kola Pomors.
