Excursion from the Murmansk Regional Museum of Local Lore through the historical part of Murmansk with a story about the history of the founding of the city.

Murmansk residents and guests of the city will visit the site of the Romanov-on-Murmansk city. Tourists will learn why tsarist Russia had to build 1,000 kilometers of railway to the Barents Sea during the war, how the young city survived the civil war and the intervention, and why soldiers of all the Entente powers from the United States to Serbia were here during these years. Guests will be told how the city was built up in the 1920s and 1930s, how Murmansk residents lived in the pre-war period. The gathering point of the group is the Murmansk Regional Palace of Culture and Folk Art named after S. M. Kirov (Pushkinskaya str., 3).
